Serenity Boudoir Photographers

Husband and wife team John & Debbie have been photographing professionaly for over twenty years and have gained experience in every aspect of photography. Master photographer qualified, published and with a bucket full of awards you know you are in safe hands. Some years ago they decided to expand their already established businesses further and put their own creative stamp on the boudoir scene, and so was born Serenity Boudoir Photography.

Childhood sweethearts turned husband and wife with 3 wonderful children, John & Debbie are a fun partnership, able to finish each others sentences and both with a passion for life and creative photography. Having the personal pleasure of making a lot of ladies and bride grooms very happy with the gifts that there partners have gone to great lengths to do.

A boudoir session is the most personal gift that any one could do for there loved one.  It takes a lot of courage to arrange and then carry out a boudoir session.

We here at Serenity Boudoir pride ourselves in making all our clients, male or female comfortable with the session choice they have made.

With our free no obligation consultation to discuss what is required for the session, and a few helpful tips thrown in, its also a good chance to see the studio were your session will take place.

From One Woman To Another

Here at Serenity Boudoir myself and my wonderful husband specialise in creative boudoir photography for the everyday woman. Not all slim models with great bodies, we cater for the business woman, the mothers, the wifes, the woman who want that special gift for someone in their life, or the woman who just wants to feel great. Some clients come to us purely for a confidence boost.

Many boudoir studios will say that they are fully female and that a female environment is the best. It's a selling tactic, but not necessarily the right one. Having a female photographer does not mean you will always get the best results, it also dose not mean you will be more at ease. The most famous photographers of the female form have been men, why is that? It's not a coincidence it's a well known fact.

For the more mature lady having such a personal, emotive photo session with possibly, a younger fitter female photographer who has not experienced life or Motherhood with all those stretch marks, can be even more daunting.

Women view the female shape totally different to men, and having a male photographer might mean you get better results, especially if the photographs you are having created are destined for that special man in your life, who else would know what a man will like than a man. I am not saying it is not a good idea to have a female present or as a photographer. I simply feel it does not make a difference to our clients and it should not make a difference when you are selecting your photographer.

When looking to have a boudoir experience, it is always advisable to seek an established qualified photographer, one who has covered many sessions and one who you can meet face to face in order to discus what you want to achieve from your session. There are photographers who are adding boudoir to their portfolios, many without experience, many who shoot tacky images with poor lighting and colour correction and with no skill or thought to their finished works. One studio local to us even shoot themselves regularly as the subjects, this may be concidered quite deseiving, another shoots their boudoir during club meetings so beware.

A true boudoir photographer should be able to show you lots of styles, finishes and a good variation of images they have already produced. Ask to see an album from a typical session and not just their random best work.

This is something that you will most likely only ever do once in a life time, and from a woman with 3 grown up children and a skilled husband like I have, I would say please make sure you choose the right photographer for you, if they make you feel comfortable when you meet them for the first time and show you high quality work then they will certainly be able to make your boudoir session a pleasant one.
